I got into law after experiencing a devastating business collapse.

In the early 2000s, my multi-million-dollar bakery was wiped out - not because of poor operations, but because my advisors weren’t aligned. The lawyers, accountants, and financial professionals all worked in silos and had never bothered to coordinate their strategy or efforts. That misalignment cost me everything.

Since then, I’ve spent the past 20 years working on over 10,000 client matters and logging tens of thousands of hours in legal and tax research - focused on aligning Business, Estate, Nonprofit, and Tax law™ into a model I now call BENT Law™.

After COVID, my path shifted. I moved away from private legal practice and focused entirely on teaching the law, building nonprofit platforms, and sharing insights through TEDx talks, podcasts, keynotes, large publication contribution, and online education. I also began working more deeply with high-net-worth families and top-tier advisors - and I saw something alarming.

A Storm Is Brewing in the Legal Industry

High-end speakers, influencers, and marketers are now selling complex estate and tax strategies without legal licenses. Take a look at the IRS Dirty Dozen Scams, DOJ, IRS, and FTC crackdowns - scams brewing in every direction - and AI is not going to make this any easier going forward!

These schemes are hurting thousands of families. I’ve reviewed hundreds of such "scam, sham, and schemes" - hundreds of millions of dollars at risk. The same structural gaps that bankrupted me two decades ago are still being exploited - but now the stakes are much, much higher - people have more wealth and investments than they did 20+ years ago.

We are in the middle of the greatest wealth transfer in history - and bad actors are exploiting the gap between legal, tax, and financial advice.

So, I shut down my law firm.

And I launched a new mission:

To educate the public, expose fraud, and help attorneys like you reclaim the front lines of trust and strategy.

Here’s What I’m Doing Now:

Through my nonprofit platforms - including the Estate Law Training Center™ and The Legal Watchdog™ - I’m building a national network of ethical attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors committed to:

• Conducting pro bono sessions to give the public access to credible and verifiable legal and tax guidance

• Creating joint venture education centers to apply for grants and teach BENT Law™ and protect consumers from scams

• Partnering with attorneys to bolt on a boutique nonprofit and tax practice that can serve your current, former, and future clients - helping you unearth one of the most interesting and in-demand legal services

We’ve already raised funding, cloned our website and intake forms, and have the training content to help you integrate this area of law into your firm - a nationwide practice that can help you unlock multiple revenue streams and transactions from your existing book of business and even connections.
